The View Menu for CPN
I have added a "View" pull-down menu to CPN. The items on this menu
are:
- Note data as text (All notes)-- This will pop up a detailed
text version of the notes of the current phrase. You can't make
any changes on that screen, but it will give you all the details
of what is going on in your phrase and maybe what is fouled up if
you are having trouble. This may also be useful if the current
phrase is too long to display as notation on the CPN screen, you
can see here what it contains.
- View phrase section
(Zoom in) -- Because the
capacity for display of CPN is limited, this feature will let you
narrow your view to just one or a few measures. When you select
this option, you then next type in the range of measures to be
displayed. You enter these by starting measure number and number
of measures. For purposes of selecting measures, the full phrase
starts with measure 1. When you have zoomed in, you can edit the
measures selected. It would be a very bad idea to change the key
signature or rhythm of a piece while it is zoomed, however.
