Although science and art have undergone fruitful alliances and interactions in recent decades, much of the emphasis has been on biosciences including environmental and genetic issues. However, there is much ground still to be explored in the area of information theory, physics, and their interrelationship via mathematical concepts of symmetry. This project will consist of the creation of an exhibition of artworks furthering understanding of the connections between these scientific fields with a view to re-contextualising scientific research and inspiring further advances.

The project will explore thesis issues through the creation of interactive media art works. This exploration has the potential to not only be valuable as a direction of artistic research but also has the potential to motivate further investigation into the pure science of information.
