About the jam scene creators
As we open up jam2jam AV to new scene creators and encourage composers and music technologists to take up the challenge of producing culturally appropriate and engaging content for jam2jam, we would like to formally acknowledge the pioneer Scene creators.
Music Producer and sound designer Ande Foster was the first creator of jamScenes for the Network Jamming Project. Ande pioneered the process of creating multiple MIDI Files for jam2jam and making instrument samples.
Jam2jam creator Andrew Brown is a Professor at Griffith University Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane. He has developed Algorithmic music making processes in Java with jMusic and Impromptu and was research manager for the CRC for Interaction Design (ACID) that funded the development of jam2jam.
DJ Nick Coleman tours nationally and is renowned for his highly energetic and entertaining DJ sets. Nick Created scenes for jam2jam that highlight the dance music performance and DJ/VJ aspects of jam2jam.
John Ong is a Master of Arts Research Student at QUT in Theomusicology and is also a Civil Engineer. John has been working as a research Assistant and workshop facilitator for jam2jam projects. John created the Canto Pop Scene for jam2jam for our first visit to Hong Kong in 2009.
At the centrepoint for all the scene creation has been Thorin Kerr who as developer worked with all the scene creators to iron out bugs and advise and tweak the content so it worked in jam2jam. Thorin has developed the jam2jam AV and XO versions.
