Together Red Record Launch
Together Red Record Launch
The Together Red choirs had their record launch on the 19th November 2012 at QUT Kelvin Grove Campus in the M Block Music & Sound Concert Studios. The pre launch activities included some new jam2jam scenes developed by musicians from around the world and some creative improvising from the TR crew. Kate Fletcher Music Therapist, Dr Andy Brader provided electronic wizardry, Amber Hansen video recorded the day and Dr Steve Dillon organised some iPad and percussion jam2jam sessions.
A Cumbian Rhythm scene is being developed by Juan Angel a Columbian musician studying a Master of Creative Industries at QUT Kelvin Grove Campus. The test set was trialled with TR in a session using live percussion instruments. We are looking at including dance movements with the scene when completed and adding in samples of authentic Columbian instruments to replace the MIDI sounds used currently.
Singapore Chinese MA MMus graduate from QUT developed a lovely Canto Pop inspired Ballad scene for jam2jam in 2010 and this scene has been used as an RnB soul improvisation that TR sing variations of their name over to begin the process of creating a new song with vocals and images. A series of videos recorded at the QUT sessions is presented below.
