Music, Creativity and Digital Arts

Andrew is an active computer musician, computational artist, builder of creative software tools, and supervisor of research students. Currently he works as Professor of Digital Arts at the Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. His previous positions include Research Manager for the Australasian CRC for Interaction Design (ACID) and Professor of Music and Sound at the Queensland University of Technology. His professional interests include digital support of creativity and learning, computational music and art, and the philosophy of technology. Current research activities focus on modeling musical intelligence, the aesthetics of computational processes, and the design of generative and interactive audiovisual art.
